You’re welcome to come on your own. Our Volunteer Befrienders will be there to greet guests, help with introductions and make it easier to settle in.
For some people, deciding to go out is easy.
For others, getting there, finding their way around an unfamiliar venue or travelling home can make a lovely invitation feel difficult.
We want to understand those concerns and do what we reasonably can to help.
St John the Evangelist Church Hall is wheelchair accessible, with plenty of free parking available.
When we speak with you, we can also discuss seating, mobility needs, food preferences and anything else that would help you feel comfortable and enjoy the occasion.
You can meet new people, join conversations or simply enjoy the music.
It’s entirely up to you.
You’re welcome to ask about bringing a family member, friend or carer.
As places are limited, companion requests will be considered individually. However, if you need your usual carer or support person to attend safely, please tell us so we can discuss arrangements.
Our staff and volunteers cannot administer medication, provide personal care, lift guests or replace someone’s usual care support.

We know that getting home safely can be just as important as getting to the event.

We’ll explore whether we can arrange a suitable journey within Lambeth. Transport is limited and must be agreed in advance, so we cannot guarantee it for every guest or address.
We want guests to feel confident about their journey home.
If transport home would make the difference between coming and missing out, please tell us.
Before the event, we’ll explain the practical arrangements for your visit and discuss any support you usually rely on.
