We'd love to welcome you

Golden Memories takes place on Saturday 30 January 2027, from 3pm to 8:30pm. St John the Evangelist is wheelchair accessible with free parking.

Attendance is free, including refreshments and entertainment.

We prioritise Lambeth residents aged 65 and over, but everyone is welcome to request a place.

Everyone attending, including carers and companions, must have their place confirmed in advance.

Who can ask for a place?

Golden Memories welcomes all generations, with the aim of having a majority of guests aged 65 and over, prioritising Lambeth residents.

We’d like to check a few details to help us plan places fairly.

Guests who need a carer or support person to attend safely will be able to bring them, with arrangements agreed in advance. Requests for other companions, including family members and friends, will be considered individually, depending on available places.

You can request a place yourself or ask someone you know or a community organisation to help you. No referral is needed.

Your comfort and safety matter to us

Before confirming attendance, we’ll ask about practical needs, including mobility, access, seating, dietary requirements, transport and anyone who usually provides support.

We’ll have arrangements in place for event safety, first aid and safeguarding concerns, with staff and Volunteer Befrienders briefed on their responsibilities.

Please tell us if you need support with medication, lifting, moving or personal care, as our event team and volunteers cannot provide these services.

Coming with someone

You may need a carer or support person to attend safely, or simply prefer to come with someone you know.

Essential carers will be accommodated by prior arrangement. Other companion requests will be considered individually, subject to available places.

About transport home​​

Limited transport home within Lambeth may be available by prior arrangement.

If you need help getting home, please tell us when requesting your place. We’ll discuss what may be possible and confirm any arrangements before the event.

We’ll do our best to help, subject to the transport arrangements available.
